LIMESTONES

(CaCO3 – CaO – Ca(OH)2)

LEVEL UP WITH LIMESTONE

Limestone is a highly abundant mineral widely distributed throughout the earth’s crust, a sedimentary rock composed of calcium carbonate. At Casco, we utilize limestone’s versatility to provide effective solutions for diverse industrial applications.

GROUND LIMESTONE (CALCIUM CARBONATE) — CaCO3

Derived from lime mining and natural high-quality limestone resources, our ground limestone is finely crushed and ground to meet industry specifications. Calcium carbonate (CaCO3) finds widespread use across mining, oil and gas, agriculture, and various industrial applications.

CALCIUM OXIDE OR QUICKLIME (QL) — CaO

A highly reactive product, averaging over 94% calcium oxide, Quicklime undergoes calcination at temperatures of about 900-950°C, releasing CO2 to produce CaO. Quicklime is utilized in diverse applications, including pulp industries for kiln maintenance or when kilns are unavailable. Additionally, it serves as a raw material for producing PCC (Precipitated Calcium Carbonate) in paper industries.

CALCIUM HYDROXIDE (HYDRATED LIME) — Ca(OH)2

Produced through a controlled water-adding process to quicklime, Hydrated Lime prevents the reactive substance from turning into dry powder. It plays crucial roles in the water treatment process, soil stabilization, building construction, and chemical processing.
